CleenPay is a checkout platform for online merchants. CleenPay charges a flat fee for the software and a transaction fee. The system offers multiple payment options should one not be available. CleenPay does not hold, manage or touch any money from the merchant's sales transactions.
When you pay on a merchant's site, that merchant and CleenPay each handle your information for our own purposes. This notice covers CleenPay's side. The merchant's own notice covers theirs.
This section is the notice given at or before the point of collection.
| What we collect | Why | Sold or shared? |
|---|---|---|
| Identifiers — name, email address, postal address, order reference | To process and record the payment, contact you about it, prevent fraud, meet legal obligations, and to market the products and services of CleenPay, its affiliates and its partners | Yes — see Your choices below |
| Commercial information — amount, currency, payment option chosen, payment status | To process and record the payment, and to report it to the merchant | No |
| Technical information — IP address, browser and device information, privacy signals your browser sends | Security, rate limiting, fraud prevention, and honouring your privacy choices | No |
We never receive your full card number. Card details go to the licensed, PCI-compliant provider handling that payment option; they do not reach CleenPay's servers.
We disclose information to categories of recipients, not to an open list:
For as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for, then for as long as tax, accounting, anti-fraud and other legal obligations require.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what we hold about you, to get a copy, to have it corrected or deleted, to limit the use of sensitive information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing.
Exercising any of these will not change what you pay, what you receive, or your ability to complete a purchase.
To opt out: Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. For anything else, email support@cleenpay.com.
If your browser sends an opt-out preference signal such as Global Privacy Control, we treat it as a valid request to opt out. You do not need to click anything, and we do not read the absence of a signal as permission.
Traffic is encrypted in transit. Card data is excluded from our systems by design rather than by policy. Secret keys are stored as one-way hashes. Payment events are written to an append-only, hash-chained audit log.
Each version carries a date, and a version applies to information collected while it is in force. If we ever want to use information already collected for a materially different purpose, we will ask first.
